How Can the SRC Represent You?

Student Services Guide PDF (246 KB)

The SRC advocates for students on an individual and collective basis to the University Administration. It makes representations to government and non-government organisations in the wider community, using its resource base to research and prepare submissions. The various portfolio officers run activist campaigns, forums and rallies around a wide range of issues affecting students.

SRC members hold positions on many committees within the University, enabling the student voice to be heard.

As members of the SRC, all Sydney University undergraduates are also members of the National Union of Students (NUS). With a membership of 400,000 students across Australia, NUS has the capacity to influence the Government's education policy. NUS also operates as a coordinating body for campaigns at a national level.

Welfare Survey

The SRC Student Welfare Survey has been designed to collect information about your experiences as a student which will help the Students' Representative Council lobby the university, government and other public authorities on behalf of undergraduate students. Your name is not required on the survey. All information collected will be combined to show trends.

Counter Course Survey

The Counter Course Survey is your chance to let us know what you think of your course, individual subjects, tutors, the cost of education etc. Your responses will be part of a Counter Course Handbook - a free SRC publication for all undergraduate students.
